​Every yurt bought from us comes with a materials list and guide to constructing a wooden base for your yurt. 

A wooden base elevates your yurt up away from damp ground, provides a clean runoff for rainwater, gives the yurt a firm footing to sit on, provides a safe, flat surface for you and your guests  - and last but not least, it is warm..

We do not sell yurt bases or materials to construct them. The most economical way to install your yurt base is to buy materials locally using our materials list and then either self install or employ a local handyman or landscape gardener to install for you. 

We have chosen to keep the design of our yurt base as simple as possible, incorporating materials available  from most local DIY stores or builders merchant. Construction is similar to decking and requires no foundations to be dug, the base simply sits on the ground - presuming your ground is relatively well drained and level

A purpose made yurt base will last longer and function far better than any groundsheet can.

Below we have given a very rough estimate for MATERIALS ONLY for our three different yurt sizes. This should be treated as a guide only, Materials prices are in constant flux and you can expect a wide variation in pricing based on where in the country you buy and who from.
